These took over a whole box last year.  I ended up drying them and making chili powder.  I didn't plant them this year.  I bet some will come up from seeds.
I really planted these from seed four days ago, but I'm trying to figure out the journal thing. I think I have to plant before I can talk about it in the journal - right? Mar 13, 2012

You can talk about anything in the Journal.  You can post your pictures of the plant as it grows or after it is grown by clicking on the picture and uploading photo.

Actually, I realized afterwards that what I was wanting to do was to add observations.  You have to already have "planted" the plant to make observations regarding it (germination, transplanted, pest, fertilize, etc...)

I've had really poor luck with beans for some reason. I already pulled up one round that immediately came down with mosaic virus. Hopefully these new plantings will do better.

I want to plant this one.  It might be too late here....maybe in my fall garden!
julia42 replied about 1 year ago
Do you think so?  I thought pole beans were warm weather crops.  Maybe that's my problem...
julia42 replied about 1 year ago
I checked - my planting calendars (I have 2 I use) both say that March is prime pole bean planting time.  You're in the same zone as I am (I think), so I would think you should be able to plant them now if you want to.
