The White Tomesols were so great last year! I'm looking forward to them again - I hope you like them too! I'm really excited to try Rebel Yell and Nyagous this year. Tlacalula Pink looks cool too.

I pretty much let My Garden Show go last summer when things started to fizzle out in the heat. Now that we're getting back to growing season, I feel like I need to start sharing my activities again...

I've never understood the theory that people become addicted to capsacin and start to crave it in higher doses. Until this year. My serranos no longer satisfy - I need more heat. Next year - habaneros!

I don't know if serranos are like jalapenos but sometimes I have a mild crop of jalapenos & sometimes a hotter crop. Habaneros should do the trick though!

Fascinating. I've never heard that theory before, but it sure makes sense to me. The more I enjoy hot peppers, the hotter I want them to be!

At first I thought it was a snake, close up shows it's a caterpillar. Not so good if he eats your toms.

Thanks! It's a "he". He's a good boy, too. I've gotten him to stop digging - now I need to get him to stop eating my fertilizer. It's organic and all, and he doesn't eat much, but still can't be too good for him...

Gosh, we've been busy lately. I suppose it's nice that summer's the off season for gardening around here.

We have an average sized suburban lot which is mostly dedicated to the antics of our three busy boys. The 15' x 25' area behind the garage was pretty worthless lawn, though, so I spent last year converting it into a vegetable garden. I threw some blackberries and blueberries in there for good measure, and planted some fruit trees around the yard. It's great to be able to give the kids organic fruits and vegetables straight from the garden, and even convinces them to eat things I don't think they would have tried normally (like collard greens). Can't wait for the fruit trees to swing into full production! ...
