This would be my composter that was given to me by a co-worker. Not so sure how this is going to work out. We put alot of leaves in here recently and I think that was not a good idea. It seems to go really slow even if you turn it. We have plenty of veggie waste from the house along with coffee grounds, tea bags, onions,... ...see more

So apparently I am behind with all the things we are doing around the house. We've been busy for sure, but not like those with extremly huge gardens (and I have no idea how they do it). We pick blackberries that came with the house we bought back in January. There really is something new everyday. Its amazing how you can... ...see more

| @RoriTx: I think I would have traded with you this weekend. :) (at least you seem to be getting a break from all that work) |

| @vanna516: I am all about easy. This is my first year actually physically doing it. (in the past I've been so nervous, I just let my mom do it - cause shes the expert.... :) ) |
| @JMTKMS: I would love to get feed back from you all if you decide to pickle with this recipe. |

Hi! We live in the same 'hood :) Wondering what the "fluffy" flower above is called...
Jane |
| @NarleeJane: The pink fluffy flower is the blooms from our Mimosa tree. They smell like a cross between a peach and an orange. :) |

| Thank you, this is such a wonderful "how to" show. That really looks good. I have been reading, on YGS, about so many good Pesto's, but I have not actually made one. Thanks again... :) :) |

I bought my first home in January of this year. I am so excited to grow all the things I was limited to in pots. I have had 4 raised beds built and am trying my hand at really growing for the first time without so many limitations. I also have several seed I planted that I won from Grow it Forward Heirloom Seed Contest. Check it out and I will make sure I try and label everything as soon as I go back and find my seed packs. Also the property has so many exciting things that pop up all the time. We inherited 2 fig trees, a strawberry patch, somthing that I think looks like blackberries, a giant magnolia tree,...

I have a verma-composter that I am trying to work - this is year two of it, and did get some really nice soil from it this spring - I'll keep working it and see what happens. :)
