    Ava gravitates towards these purple flowers. What are they? Do I need to pull the wild onion out from inbetween?

Those flowers are so pretty!  Ava looks absolutely adorable too!

You have creeping phlox.   They spread and are beautiful in the spring.  They are easy to transplant.....just dig them up in clumps after they bloom and plant them wherever you want color in the spring.  Keep them watered until they root.

@Liz: Great advice! I love them, they are a beautiful punch of color. I should definetly remove the wild onion then,
