The most delish yummy yellow tomatoes from an Amish stand
  Magnify

Yellow Amish tomato seeds have been obtained!

May 19, 2012
I have tracked down more of the delicious yellow, with purple specks tomatoes. I have the seeds fermenting now in a mason jar. These tomatoes didn't look as nice as the ones from 2 nights ago, but they will have to do. The other tomatoes had purple specks, small dots around the shoulders. These tomatoes barely have any, but the Amish woman I bought them from assured me they are the same tomato, just picked at different maturities. The sauce I made with them tonight was very good, so I know it's the same. There is no name for the tomato. It's one the Amish families here pass down to eachother. "Just a yellow tomato" she told me. This will be a nice edition to my garden next year. I do so loveeeee yellow tomatoes.

Do you think it might be Orange Fleshed Purple Smudge?:  http://rareseeds.com/vegetables-p-z/tomatoes/orange/orange-fleshed-purple-smudge.html   I've been wanting to try this variety!  I have 3 seeds I got in a swap that I'm planting next spring - I'm glad you think it's tasty (if that's what it is...).

@julia42: No I thought that too at first, the descriptions are similar, but the flavor is not mild. They are incredibly sweet. There are only tiny puple specks on these tomatoes. Baker Creek description does state that the purple color developes over the season. I don't know.
