The Peaceful Prayer Garden is moving Mar 03, 2013
Activity-icon-status

We found a rental place locally here with a lot of land. So we grabbed it up so we could have a bigger garden. (Plus the homeowners here were looking to move back in.) We are going to measure it today to help with my planning. We don't move in until the end of March; we will be crunched for time getting a summer garden underway.... ...see more

So glad for you that you found a place to have a garden. Maybe you could plant a few Asparagus and dig them up and give them away when you move. I do not envy you all of that hard work to prep the gar... more »

Activity-icon-status

Helloo All,

I planted my garlic cloves today, four kinds in all. Rocambole Duganski & purple striped Turkish Red. Also, Artichoke type of softneck - Chopatka Mountain and Silverskin Softneck type. Hope all is well with your gardens. I don't have much gardening going on to speak of, very excited for the spring to start all...

It's supposed to be warm & nice all week here, so I'd love to get our garlic planted, but the Farmers Almanac says to wait until Oct. 30 & 31 or even better, Nov. 3 & 4... odds are those will b... more »

Sounds like you will have a wonderfully varied crop of garlic. There is nothing going on in my garden either. Thats one of the best things about this sight. I shall garden vicariously through everyone else.

Fall garden Sep 24, 2012

We ripped out all the summer garden, shelled the last of the beans. I ate a radish from my small fall bed. Neat. It was only very tiny, the aphids had been enjoying the leaves without my knowledge or concern...I think they sucked the life out of the radish. We ate some beet greens too. What I find amazing....really amazing is...

Black Widows - "YIKES" is right. I would be scared to go in your garden. Rori had a fall planting list somewhere. Check with her garden.

My garlic shipment came today! Now time to research planting garlic.

I plant mine in October. I'm going to be looking through your posts to find an email or mailing address. I thought you might like a few of the Indigo Apple tomato seeds.

Canning salsa today...wish me luck!
linzelu100 replied 9 months ago
Our CSA has a surge of tomatoes today, and are passing on 7 pounds to us. I'm making salsa from the Ball Book. Wish me luck. Remember how my jam making went...edible but terrible, safe to eat, but who would want to eat it?
RoriTx replied 9 months ago
It's easy once you take that first step!
