It goes to show that if you really need something look on Kijiji and you'll find it..While shopping for the perfect goat to help me clean up around Warren's, I came across an ad by a beekeeper, looking for some land to put some boxes on, and in exchange he offered Honey and promised not to talk my ear off about bees.. What a really great deal!  I want to have bees, and we have lots of them here... but not this year.  :)

What a wonderful exchange! We have made friends with a bee keeper at the Farmers Market. I think I may see if he's interested in putting a hive or two on our property.

Update: In talking with my father-in-law i found out that we have 7 hives, sitting in the barn, not being used...so now i just have to find them & dust them off...

Years ago when i was a little girl, my favourite thing to do was play in my grandfathers' gardens. Lucky for me Both my grandfathers had large gardens. I would go from one to the other asking questions and taking mental notes.

I found more blackberries growing at the back of the paddock.. I think they may run the whole of the side..  Will check back later to see if I'm right.
