Hi, I tidied up the Gazania and today I see new plants growing and look healthy. Now I am not sure if this is the season for them-hope so! Thanks for your suggestion. My Dad loved raising chickens and I think he treated them like they were his children. Yvonne.

Hi,I took your advice and cut the Gazania back. I believe this was their second year even though they are listed as annuals. They were a picture(don't have a camera) at the beginning of the season. Recently bought some new plants but are not doing too well--maybe it takes 2 years for them to grow. Now I am wondering if I should get rid of the old ones and plant something different as a border --any suggestions? My garden has been mostly shrubs but I have dug up ivy and made room for flowers. My favorite thing is flowers!
