I am currently working with a 50'x50' square. I divided the north side into 5 separate 4x8 raised beds. South side into 5 separate 4'x4' beds. I am currently lobbying my wife to remove all the sod in the backyard!! We also have 26 chickens. I have 2 different flocks. I started with 13 and we recently added 40 rare breed chicks. I am selling the extra chicks and keeping my favorites. I kinda went chicken crazy a few years ago.

Blueberries are now starting to ripen. This is a Jubilee Blueberry (Vaccinium Cyanococcus) I am really excited about growing blueberries in California. I was always told that you could not grow them in the warmer zones. |
