Hi, I'm a first generation urban back yard gardener. I Have a passion for healthy living and a growing love of all thing that grow. For years gardening has been very intimidating but I'm not one for backing down from a challenge. So I'm starting slow and steady so I'll finish the race! I need all the help I can get. hahaha!

Happy summer, and hope all is well.  I'll look forward to seeing as your garden season for 2011 unfolds.  By chance, are you in a bee area?   I am on the hunt to find photos of the critters - quick.  We are redoing  the homepage of the site with pollinators in honor of the US Department of Agriculture's Pollinator week June 20-26.  We are also going to be in Washington DC at the USDA Pollinator summit since they asked us to promote our pollinator initiatives - the birds, bees and butterflies  . We'll be taking it all forward to Facebook and beyond (with full attribution of course, and we can link to your blog/glog).  Again, looking for any bee photos by Monday and hope you might help out! And if you post, I'll get to follow what's happening in your corner of the world.
