Worked on my Vertical Herb Garden

Yesterday I finally got herbs planted in the first tower of our home designed modified hydroponic garden. I'm using a growing medium of perlite and sand. I'll keep you posted.

How exactly is this working?  It sounds like a fun project.

@JMTKMS: As time goes on I'll let you know. I'm not really sure it's going to work at all, hence the word "experimental." I like trying new and different ways of doing things even though I also invest most of my time and energy in the tried and true methods I know will work. But my next tower will have lettuce that I plan to move from the garden bed and the growing medium will be sawdust and sand. The third will be strawberries and probably one more will be herbs. I'll keep updating with pictures and entries.

Very intriguing. I look forward to seeing your harvests. I've seen similar projects turn out well. I think those are good plant choices for this.
