I learned from my mother and grandmother the love of gardening.  In the last few years moved many plants 125 miles from mother's garden to mine, even taking slips of roses and a 35 yr. trillium that are doing beautifully. Two weeks ago moved them all to a patio garden.  I love to photograph flowers, birds, dragonflies, bees and sky.  While traveling in Scotland many faeries followed us home and a friend built a house for them and the Gnomes and Brownies.  At the Gnomes Reserve in England I tried to photographed a 110 yr Gnome and my camera stopped working until I asked his permission - only then did he allow a photograph.

    Dear Lisa:
As it so happens these bees came to see me last week.
I had a friend tell me that some White Bees came to her garden in Camas, WA a few
years ago..and it sent me on a wonderful journey to research white bees and their ancient
royality. Having see the image of bees on the castles of Ireland, I was enthralled.
Henry Van Dyck wrote a poetry book titled White Bees around 1909.
So when I saw these bees on the patio I completely went crazy with delight.
I'm downloading three.... it was not easy getting them as they dart in and out of the
    flowers so quickly.
Funny, I've been so busy I almost forgot about the Garden Show.
    My flowers are growing beautifully.
Good luck and I am totally for helping the birds, bees, butterflies....also got
a great photo of a hummingbird on the patio.

Hi Madya, Happy summer, and hope all is well with your transplanted garden.  I'll look forward to seeing as your garden season for 2011 unfolds.  By chance, are you in a bee area?   I am on the hunt to find photos of the critters - quick.  We are redoing  the homepage of the site with pollinators in honor of the US Department of Agriculture's Pollinator week June 20-26.  We are also going to be in Washington DC at the USDA Pollinator summit since they asked us to promote our pollinator initiatives - the birds, bees and butterflies  . We'll be taking it all forward to Facebook and beyond (with full attribution of course, and we can link to your blog/glog).  Again, looking for any bee photos by Monday and hope you might help out! And if you post, I'll get to follow what's happening in your corner of the world. Best, Lisa
