Can you add some tall, sturdy stakes in there with the cages to pull them up (and hopefully keep them up)? I usually reinforce my tomato cages with several 6' tall bamboo stakes (which I stake the tomato plants to as well, as they grow) and that seems to make them quite sturdy.
@SweetDomesticity...: I've just done damage assessment so far ... I think one of these already had a stake in it from the first time it started to go down. I will definitely reinforce next year before I start having incidents.
