Got a wild hair and sat down to the online Garden Planner this morning and "planted" some things- looking like I better figure out what I want and THEN worry about where it will go!

So have you eaten any of those parsnips?  My Mother loves them...honestly I have never tried them....

Not yet, going to make an elk pot roast this week and toss them in. My father-in-law says they'll be great but my mom says they'll taste like old sweatsocks. I'll let you know how it goes!

Ok, so we made the elk stew and the parsnips were actually pretty good. Just peeled, cut into chunks and tossed them in the crock pot (some places say to saute them first). They weren't super flavorful for... (more)
