Our grow room is once again in full swing we have eight varieties of tomatoes, 8 varieties of sweet and chile peppers, herbs, kale, collards, broccoli, chard and more all percolating and waiting for the warm spring weather. All heirloom varieties of course. |

After last years city disaster with waffling land agreements, no water, and far too much of my time spent communiting. I am redirecting my energies back to my own space. I hope to share our garden victories with all you lovely people this year.

After clearing loads of brush at one of our new lots, we now have something setup to start increasing our scale of composting. It's looking like a long windrow which is bordered on one side with pallets. My arms are tore up from tossing logs and the amount of trash that has accumulated in the back woods is ridiculous. Our garden has evolved slowly, as my daughters, my husband, and myself have explored and experimented with different planting strategies and cultivars. Our home is on an 1/3 of an acre lot in East Lansing's Flower Pot neighborhood and currently occupies much of our backyard. We have a 20'x20' hoop house, two 4'x30' low tunnels, raspberries, asparagus and a Zoë and Harmony garden in the Southwest corner of the yard.This year we are expanding into our Eastside neighborhood with a composting program, and two large LandBank/ City Parcels which amount to just under 2 acres. In collaboration with two friends...
